As a storyteller, I create heart-centered spaces through live performance, interactive workshops, and community engagements. Known for living out loud as a Black Haitian femme artist, I embody courageous truth telling and vulnerable vibes. My intention is to make a collective difference within my local Vermont community and beyond – one story at a time. I truly believe we all have stories worthy of sharing. During her time as a teaching artist at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, Ferene was honored to teach a BIPOC storytelling class, I Am My Ancestors’ Wildest Dreams. These are her closing emcee remarks at the students’ Voices of Color Story Slam on March 10th, 2020.
Ferene reflects on her mental health journey, sharing intimate stories about navigating life with anxiety, depression, and feeling numb. She found healing through the art of storytelling and it reignited her soul to envision a new purpose.
All Heart Inspirations manifested in the midst of the pandemic, serving as a much needed light for Ferene and others. Aspiring to make a collective difference within her local Vermont community and beyond – one story at a time – Ferene has manifested over 100 storytelling offerings.
