Juneteenth Sails on Lake Champlain — Save the Date
We return to the water for Juneteenth celebrations with Whistling Man Schooner, sailing aboard Friend Ship, Wild Rose, and Buttercup. This is a gathering for Black Vermonters to rest, reflect, and be together on Lake Champlain—rooted in joy, liberation, and collective care.
Registration opens Sunday, June 7th.

2026 Creative Sector Convening Welcome Keynote
We invite you to gather on June 5th in downtown Saint Albans for the second statewide Creative Sector Convening. Ferene Paris joins a circle of artists, musicians, storytellers, and curators to open the gathering with welcome and keynote reflections—responding to the question of what it means to make and share art in this moment, and what longs to be spoken, witnessed, and held in community as we listen, create, and remember together. PechaKucha Night Burlington | Volume 43
Ferene Paris returns to PechaKucha Burlington Vol. 43, an evening of community-centered visual storytelling featuring voices from Vermont and beyond. She will be presenting “Return to Love” alongside fellow creators for a night of story, connection, and creative expression.

Working Towards Justice Artist Residency
A 2-day artist residency rooted in storytelling, truth-telling, and justice in Brattleboro, VT. Through assemblies and workshops, students will explore authentic expression, reflection, and the power of personal narrative to deepen connection and collective understanding. Inspired by bell hooks and All About Love.
This residency creates space for students to reflect, share, and show up as their full selves.

Living Out Loud | Artist Residency
Ferene Paris kicks off the senior seminar storytelling unit at Colchester High, guiding students in crafting first-person narratives before graduation. Through hands-on workshops, seniors explore voice, courage, and connection, sharing authentic stories with their peers.
LOL Week: The Art of Being You | Artist Residency
Ferene Paris leads PreK–4th graders at Brewster-Pierce Memorial School in a week-long storytelling residency celebrating self-expression and creativity. Students explore art, music, and movement to share authentic stories and culminate the week in a joyful, student-led story slam.
Poverty & Opportunity Training Forum: Compassion in Action Keynote Address
Ferene’s keynote blends story, reflection, and heart-centered insight to show how compassion becomes action. Attendees are invited to connect empathy with real-world change, turning understanding into meaningful community impact.
Stories of Home - Fair Housing Month Kickoff
Celebrate Fair Housing Month with an evening of storytelling, community connection, and hearty snacks, hosted by Ferene Paris and All Heart Inspirations. Hear first-person stories about hope, struggle, and the realities of Vermont housing, with space to connect, reflect, and engage creatively.

Ferene Paris leads a closing session of her month-long residency, inviting participants to reflect on their personal stories and how they “live out loud.” This inclusive, low-pressure gathering at South Burlington Public Library blends conversation, creativity, and community connection for ages 16 and up.
Youth Storytelling Workshop | Just Like a Book, More Than My Cover
Youth in 4th–9th grade are invited to explore self-expression through storytelling and creative painting with Ferene Paris. Participants will transform t-shirts and canvas bags into wearable stories while enjoying treats and raffle prizes.
Live Taping | Tea Talks with Lydia Diamond
Join Lydia Diamond for a special live taping of Tea Talks celebrating Women’s History Month. We’re filling the studio with a live audience to uplift the beloved femmes & womxn stories in our communities. Kick off the residency with a storytelling performance, Haitian treats, and time to connect with neighbors at South Burlington Public Library. This opening event introduces Just Like a Book, More Than My Cover, a month-long series exploring identity, appearance, and the stories we carry.

All About Love – Community Night
